MacBook Pro is Apple's line of high-performance laptops that target professional users. It is the successor of the PowerBook G4 model being the first product line of the company to include Intel processors and was presented at the MacWorld 2006 technology fair on January 10, 2006.
It is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i5 and i7 processors. They include iSight webcam, now called "FaceTime HD", backlit keyboard, lighting sensor to control the brightness of the screen and keyboard, LED-backlit display and also incorporates new functions such as MagSafe connector.
All its variants include free fall sensors that remove the writing needle from the hard disk in case the equipment falls to prevent damage to the hard disk.
